Our Corpse Destroyed

Our Corpse Destroyed is a five piece band from San Antonio, Texas. They play punk rock and old school American hardcore while demonstrating that songwriting, song structure, and overall song delivery are just as important as the song message.
Previously O.C.D. was known as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder because their lead guitar player, Skip, had been diagnosed with the anxiety condition long before the band ever came together. Faithfully, God healed Skip of the disorder as the band developed and He gracefully granted Skip new life through that healing. Skip's old nature/man died thanks to his own human efforts through God's divine intervention.  Because of this healing, the band members met and decided to rename the band to symbolize the work God had carried out through Skip. The band decided upon the name Our Corpse Destroyed which represented what the members wanted and needed to do on a daily basis---to make a point of dying to their flesh and turning their will over to God in order to serve His plan. 
Our Corpse Destroyed is: AJ on lead vocals, Skip on lead guitar, Eddie on rhythm guitar, Johnny on bass guitar, and Jason on drums.  O.C.D. currently delivers an outreach music ministry that spans nationwide to the secular punk scene and beyond. The band is also part of a church in San Antonio called Rise Above Ministries that was birthed by the band in conjunction with the passion and guidance God has given each band member to minister the Gospel.  Recently Our Corpse Destroyed signed onto HairBall8 Records’ Christian sub-label Paloma Sound, who will released the band’s album Avenge Your City nationally and internationally in October 2006 through Redeye Music Distribution.  Also look for O.C.D.’s music to be available at the same time through iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, SONY Connect, Yahoo, and AOL Music. Additionally, Our Corpse Destroyed appear in the Fall/Winter 2006/2007 issue of the magazine Loud Fast Rules (#5), which is distributed nationally and internationally through chain stores like Hot Topic, Barnes & Noble, Borders, FYE, and Virgin as well as through Interpunk.com, independent chains, and retail stores the world over. Alongside interviews with bands like The Casualties, The Adicts, Rancid, and Cocksparrer, this issue of L.F.R. features both an Our Corpse Destroyed interview and a CD review. On top of that, O.C.D. is showcased on the complimentary CD sampler contained within this issue of the ‘zine alongside Lower Class Brats, Vice Squad, Die Hunns, Street Dogs and Guttermouth .
